Donna Michelle Vaughn from Baltimore, Maryland grew up dancing under the direction of Donna Jean Wienecke at Dance Dynamics. Studying ballet, tap, jazz, lyrical and gymnastics, Donna became a member of HotShots National Dance Team, traveling and participating in dance competitions and conventions like Starquest, Starpower, Headliners, Showstoppers, NYCDA, Shake the Floor and West Coast Dance Explosion to name a few. Donna went on to receive her B.F.A in Dance and Choreography from Virginia Common-Wealth University. Her professional career includes touring nationally and internationally with Hubbard Street Dance Chicago and DanceWorks Chicago, under the direction of Julie Nakagawa Bottcher. Broadway Credit includes, Original Cast of Lion King Las Vegas at Mandalay Bay and Lion King Broadway. (Dancer/Singer Track) Donna’s TV Credits include, Regis and Kelly, Good Morning America, Daytime Emmy’s and BET’s Awards Show, Black Girls Rock, performing with R&B singer, Monica. She is the lead role in Singer-Song Writer Jill Scott’s music video, Back Together, Produced by Alan Ferguson. She is a proud teacher and choreographer at The Caedmon School on Manhattans Upper East Side and Broadway Dance Center’s Teen and Children Division. Teaching workshops and master classes through Passport to Broadway and Broadway Workshop, Ms. Vaughn can be found assisting choreographers at Alvin Ailey’s Summer Intensive as well as teaching in Baltimore Maryland.
